Our hope is to provide an environment which is best suited for your child’s development and well-being. We work to provide loving stimulation in an aesthetic environment, where, in the words of Dr. Maria Montessori “a child can go about the business of creating him or herself.”
The Montessori philosophy emphasizes the individual development of each child. It promotes the idea that the child should have the freedom to use classroom materials according to his or her own needs and interests. In a Montessori classroom, a child’s learning and development trajectory is unique and individualized.
When you enroll your child in our school, we assume responsibility for guiding him or her through this specialized learning path. As we observe and learn about your child’s interests, personality and developmental stages, we strive to create a learning environment that suits these needs.
We value partnership with you as we nurture and guide your child in the classroom. We have parent-teacher conferences at the end of the year, but are available throughout the year via phone, email or in-person to answer questions or discuss concerns.
We urge you to come in and see the wonderful things happening in our classroom! As an enrolled family, you have an open invitation to come and observe the activities that occur at our school at any time during the school year. We love our close school community, and certainly want you to be a part of it! For prospective parents, please email or call for a tour of our classroom.
We have our Parent Meeting once in the beginning of the year. If there are any topics which interest you, please email me and I will do my best to address it as a group or individually at that time (firstname.lastname@example.org).
